The reverse of the coin depicts a dynamic football scene with two players’ feet competing for a football, symbolising movement and competition. The design includes the colourful flags of Germany, the host nation, highlighted in red, yellow and black. The inscription on the reverse reads: “UEFA EURO 2024”. The obverse of the coin features an architectural view of a stadium with the national coat of arms of Portugal in the centre at the top, along with the inscriptions: “5 EURO” – the face value and “PORTUGAL” – the issuing country. At the bottom, the inscription “UEFA EURO 2024” refers to the event being celebrated.
